[VIDEO] Anti-Gay, Homophobic Rant at High School Assembly

At Dunkerton High School in Iowa, students were forced to hear a homophobic rant by Bradlee Dean, preacher and drummer. Mr. Dean thought it would be a good idea to validate his point that homosexuality was wrong by using Lady Gaga and Sir Elton John as bad examples. Along with telling the children that being gay was a sin and a choice (which to that, I say FUCK YOU), he also explained to the students that they needed to obey their husbands, stay a virgin until marriage and preached about pro-life and the reason it’s the right choice.

And DO NOT tell these children that the average life span for a gay man is 42, implying that being gay literally kills you. How ignorant are you? I mean, I’m well aware that you are, in fact, ignorant, but to spew out lies like this is absolutely ridiculous. If you have enough evidence to support your argument that homosexuality is wrong, don’t use lies to influence these kids.

Mr. Dean is not only the preacher who holds these views, he’s also a drummer in his band, Junkyard Prophet, and the President of the ministry You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International. The organization charges $1,500 per event, which is funny for someone who is all about God and teaching morality to youth; Money shouldn’t be of importance.

Parent Jennifer Littlefield told the LaCrosse Tribune: ‘They told my daughter, the girls, that they were going to have mud on their wedding dresses if they weren’t virgins.’

Her 16-year-old daughter Alivia was distraught when she called her after the event and was one of several to have left in tears.

Appalled parents complained to the school, which has since accepted responsibility. The district authority is trying to recover the fee paid to Junkyard Prophet, who are said to command a rate of $1,500 (£955) per show.

Dean is claiming that no one had an issue with the performance when it had happened, but soon after he got home people were claiming it was anti-gay. Well, I don’t know if the ignorant preacher reviewed the video, but it was very much homophobic. Oh, and did I mention that the civil rights organisation, the Southern Poverty Law Center, listed You Can Ride But You Can Not Hide International as an active anti-gay hate group.

People like Bradlee Dean should not be able to be teaching children the difference of right and wrong because he’s clearly confused himself.
