[VIDEO] Time Lapse: Shuttle Endeavour Traverses Los Angeles
Seeing the Space Shuttle fly over Los Angeles, CA the other day was one of the most memorable experiences I think I’ll have in my lifetime. I love Los Angeles, and I love the chaos that comes with this city. Sure, the traffic can be a royal bitch, but at least I get to live through some pretty memorable events in history and will have that to look back on when I’m older. This video is an awesome time-lapse that shows Endeavour‘s journey through the streets of LA. So rad!

Great News SoCal: Pot Ban Lifted After Impassioned Plea From Cancer Patient, Councilman Bill Rosendahl
Obviously, this doesn’t help the federal crack down on medical marijuana dispensaries, but it does show that Californians are willing to work at a state level and attempt to keep the dispensaries open and the regulations more clear.
In a faint and gravelly voice, Los Angeles Councilman Bill Rosendahl delivered an impassioned plea Tuesday asking his colleagues to lift the ban on pot dispensaries, asking them: “Where does anybody go, even a councilman go, to get his medical marijuana?”
Minutes before the council voted 11-2 to rescind its recently passed ban on storefront pot shops, Rosendahl said the council’s decision had created “a very emotional moment” for him. Rosendahl has been battling cancer for the past three months and relying on medical marijuana during that time.
“On the 20th of July, I had an MRI that was very, very serious. And the bottom line on that was, they didn’t give me much time to live. And I said, ‘No, no no no, I’m not ready to go. I certainly want to live a long time,’” said Rosendahl, who has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments and relying on a walker to move around in recent days.
Rosendahl, 67, said he began taking medical marijuana a decade ago to manage his neuropathy, a stinging pain in his feet, taking it “occasionally at night.” But on Tuesday, he put the issue in the context of his battle with cancer, which has made it difficult for him to speak above a whisper.
“If I can’t get marijuana, and it’s medically prescribed, what do I do?” he asked his colleagues.
Rosendahl criticized President Obama’s handling of the issue and spoke against some of the recent federal raids of dispensaries. And he said Los Angeles should work with state lawmakers to make California law regulating medical marijuana clearer.

Rick Santorum: Having A Parent In Prison Better Than Having Two Same-Sex Parents
Rick Santorum is an ignorant jack ass who has no right to speak on the issue considering he has no experience with same-sex couples, parents, or colleagues. This man bases his views about gay marriage and gay parenting on what he believes to be the truth because of his religious beliefs. Sadly, due to this small reason, he hasn’t had any experience with gay people, at least, not enough to share any viewpoints on their lifestyles and how they impact a family.
If you are going to say that having an absent parent in prison is better than having two fully devoted parents, you are a completely ignorant dumb ass. Based on this comparison, I could conclude that being raped by a man would be better for me than to find love and compassion with a woman because while one is immoral (lesbianism), the other is a sin, but morally accepted based on the opinions of staunch Republicans who find the only relationship to be acknowledged should be between a man and a woman. Correct?
Citing the work of one anti-poverty expert, Santorum said, “He found that even fathers in jail who had abandoned their kids were still better than no father at all to have in their children’s lives.”
The thing I find ironically funny is that most of these parents who go into prison will most likely have a gay experience while in there. Does this mean that they are no longer a better choice than a law-abiding gay person?
FOR THE RECORD:
Rick Santorum: An article in the Jan. 7 Section A about the New Hampshire primary reported that GOP candidate Rick Santorum said in 2005 that gay marriage is no different from “man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be.” He said this in an interview with the Associated Press in 2003. A Los Angeles Times article on Oct. 2, 2011, also gave the incorrect 2005 date. —
Comparing molesting and/or raping children and bestiality to homosexuality is one of the most politically incorrect things I have heard out of someone’s mouth. We are not forcing people to have sex with us and be submissive to our needs. We are not looking for another species that cannot speak and say yes or no. We are not interested in children and corrupting youth. We want to love who we fall in love with, freely, openly, and without judgment. To compare of to perverted criminals with a lack of self-control is incredibly disrespectful and inaccurate. If someone with Santorum’s intelligence became President of The United States, I would not be able to proudly call myself American for I would be ashamed of the man who led this country and the voters who stood behind him.
Allowing gays to marry and raise children, Santorum said, amounts to “robbing children of something they need, they deserve, they have a right to. You may rationalize that that isn’t true, but in your own life and in your own heart, you know it’s true.”

There were three students that had grown up in gay households that were present for Mr. Santorum’s speech at the boarding school. Not surprisingly, these students made no scene and treated the speaker respectfully while he condemned their way of life and bashed their families morals. I would really love to hear what these students thought about what the GOP candidate had to say.
YouTube: Zach Wahls, a 19-year-old University of Iowa student spoke about the strength of his family during a public forum on House Joint Resolution 6 in the Iowa House of Representatives. Wahls has two mothers, and came to oppose House Joint Resolution 6 which would end civil unions in Iowa.
The fight to to keep marriage equality in Iowa continues, help us support Iowans like Zach.

Banksy Creates New TV Special: ‘The Antics Roadshow’
The man that was fighting against selling out and becoming commercial, has, well, gone commercial. Many people were initially shocked by the Documentary “Exit Through The Gift Shop.” Now he is moving into the television industry and making long-time fans question his decision to conform to society.
Slashfilm.com has made it’s own remarks in regards to the show:
He’s created an hour-long special that will premiere Saturday night on Channel 4 in the U.K. called The Antics Roadshow, a take off of The Antiques Roadshow, described as ‘Banksy’s ‘incomplete guide to total anarchy’ providing a greatest hits of wayward behavior, sedition and sabotage.” There’s no U.S. air date yet.
The Los Angeles Times alerted us to the show and echo our plea for someone in the U.S. to buy the rights to this special.
Where is Casey Anthony? Southern Califronia?
After being acquitted of murder, released from prison and taking a private jet to “protect” herself from the many people who have sent death threats, it is speculated that Casey Anthony has finally landed down in Southern California.
The Los Angeles Times referred to the Today show, which,
“…reported Tuesday that Anthony left Orlando on a plane owned by California attorney Todd Macaluso — one of Anthony’s former lawyers -– and that flight records indicated the plane eventually landed at John Wayne Airport after making stops in Panama City, Fla.; Prescott, Ariz., and Northern California.”
No one is releasing where she is hiding out for sure due to the amount of people that are enraged by her acquittal. I really hope if she is in the Southern California area, that she doesn’t make it a permanent home.
This is just so sad to me that poor little Caylee never got to live her life, yet her mother (who regardless of the acquittal, definitely made some mistakes) is now out living hers up with private jets, traveling around the country and free.
