While going through youtube scoping out videos of people doing stupid shit during Hurricane Irene, I came across this:
They are lucky as all hell that the ‘Hurricane Irene’ was suddenly ‘Tropical Storm Irene’. There have been plenty of nice days, when people are thrown over freeways (obviously located close to the water) only to barely survive. And then you have these ‘dare-devils’ who go out during a fucking storm?! Yet, they made it out alive, and now fame is slowly creeping their way. Don’t you just love how stupidity pays the bills nowadays?
State of Emergency Declared in New York; The Jersey Shore Evacuated
Above, you can see Hurricane Irene; This hurricane is the root of the problem that is leading to multiple evacuations on the East Coast.
Gawker – In New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency earlier this afternoon. North Carolina has already evacuated 200,000 people. And in New Jersey, Chris Christie is urging a voluntary evacuation of the Jersey Shore, and not just because it’s an awful place.
Astronauts have said that the footage of the hurricane (above) is “terrifying”. Seeing as the weather has been rather unusual in the East Coast, this isn’t unexpected. First they have to deal with the mild earthquakes, which scared the shit out of them, and now this?! Poor East Coasters.
