[VIDEO] Woman Left Brain Dead After Being Tasered By Officer When She Attempted To Flee While Handcuffed
Danielle Maudsley. 20. was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol on a suspected hit-and-run that had occurred back in September. After being taken to the Patrol Station, she quickly attempted to flee the scene, while still handcuffed.
Trooper Daniel Cole follows the young woman outside and instead of attempting to run and grab her, retreats to using his taser. Maudsley is struck in the back and collapses to the ground, while hitting her head on the way down. Even though the girl is now brain-dead and the entire incident was caught on a dash cam, Trooper Cole has been cleared on any wrong-doing.
It is unlikely that 20-year-old Danielle will ever wake up, and was found to have cocaine and oxycodone in her system at the time. This may have led to her spontaneous decision to try to run from the troopers. Even is this is the case, Cole should have made a more aggressive attempt to catch the girl (what again, was still handcuffed) before using a weapon that could debilitate the young lady.
Danielle Maudsley’s mother is very irritated with highway Patrol:
‘Tell me that’s not excessive force. I’m not saying she was an angel, but she didn’t deserve that.’
‘He couldn’t reach out and grab her? He was an arm’s length away. My daughter is dead because of this. She won’t come back.’
Cole’s claim is that he was worried about the young girl’s safety because she happened to be running towards a highway. He also explained that he wouldn’t do anything differently, if given the opportunity.
And nationally known use-of-force expert Dave Klinger, a retired Los Angeles police officer and professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, said it was an an ‘inappropriate’ police tactic.

[VIDEO] Dog Swims Out To Sea And Is Rescued By Kayak After Drunk Driver Killed Owner In Hit And Run
On Saturday afternoon, Donna Chen, 53, was out walking her dog when she was suddenly struck and killed by a drunk driver. Blake C. Talman, 22, was actually fleeing another scene where he was suspected of crashing prior to this incident in which he took a woman’s life.
Talman reportedly lost control of his Nissan Altima on State Road 758 north of Glebe Lane when troopers say he struck Donna L. Chen as she was walking her dog on a sidewalk.
According to authorities, the dog was also hit, and it ran away from the scene.
Talman didn’t stop after hitting the woman and her dog and continued on through some landscaping, a street sign, and several wooden poles at the entrance of St. Michael’s Archangel Catholic Church. Then when you would think the young drunk driver might give up, he strikes another car with an 18-year-old girl who sustains minor injuries as well.
Both Talman and his passenger, a 24-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Investigators say Talman, of Bradenton, faces charges including DUI manslaughter and DUI property damage and personal injury.
Sunday morning, the hospital reported that Talman and the passenger had been discharged.
Talman is currently booked into the Sarasota County Jail.
What’s worse is that this young idiot that caused so much destruction is an expectant father. He seemed very upset when he heard that his bail would be set at $100,000 because that would pose a problem with him trying to be involved in the process of having a new child. This man has nothing to be angry about because he killed someone, injured others and caused extreme amounts of damage to various properties. Maybe you shouldn’t be getting so wasted and driving a vehicle when you’re expecting a baby, not to say you should do so otherwise, but setting a good example and being a safe and responsible father might be a good thing to try and carry out. Luckily, you’ll have time to be sober and think about the dumb shit you’ve done to get yourself in this situation.
Meanwhile, the dog that Chen was walking was terrified by the incident and had no idea where to go for help. With his owner now dead and no one tending to her, the dog ran off and jumped into the Gulf of Mexico. After swimming about a half mile with injuries from the accident, a man who was fishing in his kayak and had a camera filming everything, managed to safely rescue the poor shocked dog. Poor thing was lost, confused, and hurt badly. Luckily, he is now okay.
UPDATE: the mystery is solved. However, it’s very sad and unfortunate:

The accident scene was about a mile from where I found Barney swimming. Our guess is that he was so freaked out and traumatized that he just wanted to get as far away from there as possible. And when he ran out of land, he took to the water. I feel lucky that I was there fishing, because there was no place for him to go and I don’t know if he could have made it much farther. He’s banged up, but fine. Our hearts go out to the family who lost their mother.
NOTES:
* Yes, Barney is back with his family. I imagine they need him pretty bad right now.
* I usually keep a camera running when I fish, in case I catch the big one. It does happen, occasionally (see other videos in my profile if you are interested)
* The kayak is a Hobie Adventure. It is a kayak made specifically for fishing. When turned down, the side floats allow me to stand up and fish.
* My brother got my mom some shamwows a couple years back as a gag gift. As corny as they are, they actually are pretty nice for fishing

UPDATED!! Three Siblings Shoot at Officers, Evade Police and Rob Bank
UPDATE HERE: The Fugitives have been caught!!! (August 10th 5:04PM Pacific)
Three siblings are currently wanted by the FBI for multiple felonies, including: evading the police, armed bank robbery, warrants, shooting at officers during a high speed chase, and much more.
Lee-Grace Dougherty, 29, Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, and Ryan Edward Dougherty, 21 all have previous criminal records. Their mom has been pleading for them to turn themselves in to ensure no one gets hurt and “do the right thing”. Unfortunately, when three of your children all have criminal records and then pull a stunt like this, together, I don’t have much faith in you as a mother.
The youngest of the siblings, Ryan, has around 20 felonies already and one was for sexually texting an 11-year-old girl. One week before the bank robbery in Valdosta, Georgia, he registered as a sex offender for the first time. Lee-Grace was wanted for a hit-and-run crash and battery from earlier in the year, as well as having a probation violation. Dylan was fortunate enough to only have a charge of marijuana possession before this crime spree took place.

Mother Convicted in Son’s Jaywalking Case
A mother from Georgia was convicted of homicide in the death of her son, for jaywalking. While this case may seem simple and the mother is to blame for jaywalking with her four-year-old, which resulted in the death, there is much more to it than one might assume.
Raquel Nelson does not own a vehicle and relies on the public transportation system to get her and her (then) three children to and from places. On the day that her son was hit and killed (by a man who had been drinking), she was dropped off across the street from her apartment. The nearest crosswalk was three-tenths of a mile from there they currently were, and as you could imagine, would be more of an adventure for a single mother and three children than one would want. She made a decision which ruined her life, as well as many others.
Her fear now is that she may face up to three years in prison for this, and be separated from her other two children. What’s worse is that the man who admitted to drinking before hitting the child only served a sixth of that possible sentence.
“I think to come after me so much harder than they did him is a slap in the face because this will never end for me,” she said. “It’s three years away from the two that I have left.”
