‘The last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into ovens’ – Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers, 79, has caused quite the controversy during ‘Fashion Police on E!
After the Oscars, while discussing Heidi Klum, Ms. Rivers stated that “the last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into ovens” in the dress she wore for the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood. After making the joke, Rivers doubled over laughing.
While Klum does look pretty fucking incredible, Rivers choice of words has been criticized by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an organization that combats antisemitism.
ADL leader Abraham Foxman said: ‘Of all people, Joan Rivers should know better. This remark is so vulgar and offensive to Jews and Holocaust survivors, and indeed to all Americans, that we cannot believe it made it to the airwaves.
‘Making it worse, not one of her co-hosts made any effort to respond or to condemn this hideous statement, leaving it hanging out there and giving it added legitimacy through their silence.
‘Almost as bad as her original comment is the fact that she sat there doubled over with laughter after saying it.’
He continued: ‘There are certain things about the Holocaust that should be taboo. This is especially true for Jews, for whom the Holocaust is still a deeply painful memory.
‘It is vulgar and offensive for anybody to use the death of six million Jews and millions of others in the Holocaust to make a joke, but this is especially true for someone who is Jewish and who proudly and publicly wears her Jewishness on her sleeve.’
Joan Rivers has refused to apologize and believe it keeps the Holocaust alive in societies eyes. She said: ‘My husband lost the majority of his family at Auschwitz, and I can assure you that I have always made it a point to remind people of the Holocaust through humor.’

[UPDATED] Forest Boy Has Been Identified As 20-Year-Old Robin VH
UPDATED: Friday, June 15th at 10:30 AM – Since the photo of Berlin’s ‘Forest Boy’ has been released, friends and the apparent step-mother have come forward saying he is, in fact, 20-year-old Robin VH. According to the step-mother, Robin left his home and was last seen on September 2nd, 2011 near Hengelo.
A school friend told Dutch broadcaster NOS: ‘I am certain that is Robin. He had personal problems and that was his way of beginning a new life.’
Robin had told authorities that his father had died in the woods, when he was actually still alive. Ironically, shortly after he left his home, Robin’s father did pass away and he was unaware because he had no contact with anyone from his past life.
UPDATED: Wednesday, June 13th at 2:02 PM – The first photo of Ray has been released in an effort to find out more. Apparently there is still skepticism as to whether “Ray” actually lived in the woods for 5 years or not because he seems to be adapting to technology rather well. He is also well-kept as far as his nails and teeth are concerned. Authorities are hoping that someone might recognize the young man’s photo and be able to offer them some answers.
A young boy about the age of seventeen, had arrived at the Berlin City Hall on September 5th, with only a rucksack and a sleeping bag. This blond hair, blue-eyed, English-speaking, athletic boy had said that he had been living in the Woodlands in Germany for 5 years, with his father, Ray.
Apparently, the boy and his father had going into the woods after his mother, Doreen, had passed away. They stayed in a tent for a while, but when it got cold, began to make dugouts. The young man had set that his father told him to head North to Berlin if anything were to happen to him, which is what led to the boy’s arrival. He told authorities that his father had passed away about 2 weeks earlier and he buried him under a stone.
Again, this boy was speaking fluent English and knew very little German. He was also very healthy for having lived in the woods for nearly five years. Although they haven’t yet discovered the boy’s identity, they are currently looking into it as well as checking the Missing Person’s Database.
I am looking forward to hearing more about this and whether it’s actually an elaborate plan for the kid to get away with murdering his parents and starting a new life. Either way, I am very intrigued and plan to find out more.

Woman Escapes Torture Chamber Through Barbed Wire With Hands Cuffed
DAILYMAIL - A woman escaped from a DIY torture chamber rigged with eight bombs designed to detonate when her German captor had finished with her.
Despite being handcuffed the unnamed woman, 26, made her escape by diving head-first through a window that had been covered over with barbed wire.
She spotted her opportunity to run for freedom when Thomas Fischer, 30, forgot to lock the door to her ‘cell’ – a modified telephone box which had been soundproofed to absorb her screams.

When police arrived at Fischer’s apartment in Wachtelstrasse, Hamburg, they discovered a scene that could have come straight from the script of a horror film.
A police spokesman said: ‘The whole two-roomed apartment was rigged up as one massive torture chamber, with this big old-fashioned telephone kiosk soundproofed as the cell for his victim.’
Fischer had a ‘vast array’ of medical implements – scalpels, needles, gynaecological instruments and syringes – that he practised with on a mannequin.
He had turned fire extinguishers into bombs so volatile that police had to evacuate 300 people to safety when his flat was searched. A Walther pistol and a hand grenade were also discovered.

Having been snatched off the street on Friday, the Israeli woman was only in Fischer’s clutches for two hours but it appears he had intended to keep her locked up for much longer.
Senior public prosecutor Wilhelm Möllers said: ‘It is evident that the apartment was meant as a place of confinement for some time.’
Fischer had rigged up a camera outside the door to his apartment so he could see who was trying to enter and had stored huge planks in the basement designed to seal the windows.
Media reports in Germany said Fischer planned a ‘months’ long martyrdom’ for the woman before detonating the fertiliser bombs which he made using information found on the internet.
Police said the Fischer knew his victim after being introduced to her by a friend but that there was ‘definitely no relationship’.
However, Fischer began to stalk the woman and police spoke of an obsession with owning his victim. German media speculated that Fischer wanted to get the woman pregnant.
The incident has already drawn comparisons with the Natascha Kampusch case in Austria, where loner Wolfgang Priklopil kidnapped Kampusch as a young girl and held her for nearly nine years in a secret cellar of his home.
Neighbours said that Fischer was regarded as a loner but was nonetheless helpful in collecting post and carrying groceries for elderly tenants in his apartment block.
He has not said a word since he was arrested.
