[VIDEO] Hidden Camera Prank on Kids Attempts to Explain Taxes Before Election
A friend of mine shared this video on FaceBook and I was hesitant to even watch. In this video, Steven Crowder, attempts to explain the tax system to children with their Halloween candy. This video is meant to show children that if you work hard for your candy, you can still have it taken away and given to someone with less candy, even though you may have worked harder for yours. While this may have been a clever idea, you must also take into consideration where the children are trick or treating…
What if some kids had gone to hundreds of houses that no longer gave out candy; Did they not still work hard? No, they did work hard, but didn’t reap any of the benefits. Yet, there are some kids who have parents that take them to the rich neighborhoods or LIVE in the rich neighborhoods. The kids that work hard in these higher end neighborhoods will most likely get a lot of candy. Also, the kids in these neighborhoods that don’t work as hard will probably still get candy. I feel this is a better representation of our tax system. Some people are more fortunate than others and have a better opportunity of ensuring their wealth and/or candy. Just because the skit makes it seem black and white doesn’t necessarily mean it is.
I can’t say I’m too shocked that Crowder was the creator of this video, especially considering his ABOUT ME section on YouTube:

[VIDEO] Sh*t Christians Say
First of all, I just want to make a point of mentioning that this is sarcasm and I don’t feel that all Christians say or act like this. Being religious is your personal choice and being non-religious, is mine. This video made me laugh and does portray how many extreme Christians act, at least from what I have seen, being a lesbian. If you can’t find the humor, then I suggest you lighten up a bit and don’t take yourself so seriously. The only judgment you’re allowed to make….oh wait! As a Christian, you shouldn’t be judging me, because that’s God‘s job…
I had to get in on the fun before the “Shit _____ Say” meme completely falls from grace. Yay God!

Thursday 4Play: Republicans
Seeing as we’ve been seeing a lot of the Republican nominees lately, I figured it’s as good a time as ever to poke fun at the Republican Party. I’ve gathered some pretty funny photos, that just so happen to reflect my opinion on the matter quite truthfully. And for those of you who are Republican and find this insulting, I promise to poke fun at myself and other Democrats on one of the upcoming Thursday 4Play’s.

[VIDEO] The Gay Liberation Being Compared To The Ku Klux Klan By Catholic Cardinal
Francis George, a Catholic Cardinal, is heard above comparing people involved in the Gay Liberation movement to those of the Ku Klux Klan. When the reporter states that the remark is a rather harsh comparison, George explains that they both have a common enemy: the Catholic Church.
Personally, my belief is that the KKK’s enemy was a majority of the people who live in America, not just those of Catholic descent. And as gays, we don’t have any enemies…we are seen as the enemy. It’s one fucking day, a day that we go out and celebrate who we are despite the belief that who we are is sick… to some people. The parade passes many businesses I’m sure, and if they looked into how their parade affected each business, I’m sure there would never be a parade. This is not a deliberate attack on the church nor is it a protest in any way.
I’m going to go ahead and make a better comparison, that if said on the news, would most certainly cause an uproar:
The Catholic Church is like the Ku Klux Klan. The church discriminates against me because of my sexuality and the KKK discriminated against minorities because of their origins. Fitting, isn’t it?

Megyn Kelly (Fox News) says the Washington Monument may be tilting due to quake
The quake that has happened in the East Coast has caused quite an uproar, especially on FaceBook, this morning. Many people are shocked due to the fact that most of the quakes occur here in the West, but unlike some that have happened here, there was not much damage caused.
In fact, there are jokes going around showing a plastic chair fallen over (which a gust of wind could have caused, quite frankly) with a caption Dealing with the aftermath of the NY quake. And now, we have Fox News saying that this same quake that couldn’t even knock over an entire set of chairs, just one, has made the Washington Monument tilt?! You have got to be kidding me.
From the Washington Times:
Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly reported at 2:30 pm that their bureau received information from a producer saying that a Captiol Hill Police officer says that the Washington Monument may actually be tilting as a result of the earthquake.
Seismologist John Rundle joined Kelly on her show and confirmed that the Washington Monument could very well be tilting as a result of the earthquake and the structure should be checked out
I have a feeling this will all be cleared up in no time. If it is in fact tilting, which I highly doubt, then we can finally say Fox News got something right and was the first to do so; Which again, is highly improbable.
