Body of 11-year-old Celina Cass Has Been Found
Celina Cass, just eleven-years-old, went missing nearly a week ago. This morning her body was discovered in a dam, less than a mile from her home. The young girl was from New Hampshire and lived with her mother and step-father, Wendell Noyes.
Divers found Celina Cass’s body Monday morning near a hydroelectric dam that spans the Connecticut River between her hometown of Stewartstown, New Hampshire, and Canaan, Vermont.
While she has been discovered, there hasn’t been an autopsy, but they are planning on proceeding with one on Tuesday, August 2nd, due to the suspicious circumstances. She was last seen on July 25th, when she was playing on her computer. The very next morning is when she was discovered missing.
Shortly after an speaking with reporters, Cass’ step father was hospitalized after making a funny turn on their driveway. After Mr. Noyes was seen rolling around the driveway and causing a scene, he was brought to the hospital. In 2003, he was “involuntarily committed to a mental institution and diagnosed with schizophrenia.”
Wendell Noyes also has complaints from an ex-girlfriend who stated that he threatened to throw her down the stairs and also broke into her home and assaulted her. Seeing as he’s just been taken to the hospital, maybe he was off his medication and did something to Celina Cass. I hope, for the sake of this family, that this is not the case, but seems ironic that the day she’s discovered is the day her schizophrenic step-father is hospitalized.

This is a great article and video segment about what The Brazilian government has approved for the Amazon. The people who live in the villages along the Amazon depend on the river and the land to survive. They are completely untouched by the outside world and would like to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, the Brazilian government is going to construct “massive hydro dams all along the Amazon.” They say in this article that “It’s shaping up as the world’s biggest ever environmental battle.”
The biggest fear here is that there could be bloodshed if neither side is willing to back down. The people from the villages will fight for their way of life and could end up getting killed for it. This must stop. Someone needs to step in and do something.
