VIDEO: College Student Schools Rick Santorum on His Ludicrous Gay Marriage Position

This is by far one of the best videos I have seen in awhile. A student at Penn State chooses to stand up to Mr. Rick Santorum in regards to his beliefs about Homosexuality, and the effects they have on society. He asked for evidence which proves that children who grow up in same-sex household are okay and then dismisses it saying that there ‘is none’. At this point a brave student who admits she does not know of specific studies, fights back against his judgmental and, in my opinion, immoral beliefs.

He seems upset that Piers Morgan called him a bigot and explains how this was said only to tarnish his image, but not because it was valid. I’m sorry Mr. Santorum, but Mr. Morgan was absolutely correct in his description. A bigot, according to Merriam-Webster is “a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance “

You do not tolerate homosexuals and by not allowing them the freedom to get married and bear children, you are treating them with hatred. You are set set in your own opinions (regardless of the fact that they also happen to be the opinions of the Catholic Church), and you judge us based on a belief that the church put in place hundreds of years ago. Not only do I think you’re a bigot, but now I must admit that I think you are an ignorant and proud asshole as well.

Father And Son Both Die Of Heart Attack Within Hours Of Each Other

In Irwin, Pennsylvania, a son was on his way to see his father, who had just suffered from a heart attack and passed away. Before he arrived, he too, started having chest pains.

Charles McCauley Jr. was rushing to his father’s home Saturday after learning of the older man’s death when the younger McCauley began suffering from chest pains. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports father and son died 1 hour and 7 minutes apart.

The elderly father, Charles McCauley Sr, 83, was enjoying a nice day at home which included the Pittsburgh Steelers preseason game and an unfortunate heart attack. Ironically, he 54-year-old son, Charles McCauley Jr, was AT the game when he started suffering from chest pains and had to be taken out by paramedics.

Father and son, same name, same game, and same way of death on the same day. This has got to be one of the most ironic stories yet.

VIDEO: Boy Smashed In Face With Line Drive During Mets & Marlins Game

The young boy was at the game between between the Florida Marlins and New York Mets. He was hit at the very end of the game “when Florida’s Greg Dobbs hit a ninth-inning liner into the right-field seats, just beyond the New York dugout.” He was bleeding heavily and had to be taken out by a wheelchair before eventually being transferred to an ambulance. His mother was with him during this time.

Following the final out of New York’s 2-1 victory, Mets second baseman Justin Turner went over to wait for the boy by the railing. Turner took off his jersey and handed it over as a souvenir. New York manager Terry Collins also came over, and Dobbs gave the boy a bat.

Mother ‘forced her 12-year-old adopted daughter into abortion because her 18-year-old biological son was the father’

Charged: Cynthia Greenwood (left) is in court over allegations she took her 12-year-old daughter to have an abortion after her 18-year-old son Isaac (right) raped the girl, getting her pregnant

A mother has been charged after forcing her 12-year-old adopted daughter to get an abortion due to the fact that her 18-year-old biological son had raped the young girl and gotten her pregnant.

Cynthia Greenwood, 50, of Houston, Texas had taken her special needs daughter, only 12 -years-old, to Ohio where she would receive an abortion. Unfortunately for Greenwood, the child was ‘too hysterical,’ the Houston Chronicle reported. The sad part is that the young girl wasn’t even aware she was there to get the baby removed, she was under the impression that her mother brought her there to ‘receive an operation so it wouldn’t hurt when the baby came out.’ She was already 17 weeks pregnant and well into her second trimester.

Greenwood was arrested on Friday on one count of tampering with physical evidence.

Her son Isaac Greenwood, now 19, was charged in April and indicted in July on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14. Both are free on bail. He is due in court on September 7.

Isaac Greenwood allegedly assaulted his sister twice in March 2010 and once in May 2010 at a relative’s home.

After the incident in Ohio where the procedure could not be done, an anonymous tip was called in:

On October 15, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services received an anonymous call about a 12-year-old who was taken to an Ohio clinic for an abortion, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The caller also reported the ‘hysterical demeanour’ of the girl and that the mother refused to provide any details about how the child became pregnant.

VIDEO: Crazy Kite Surfers Go Out During Hurricane Irene

While going through youtube scoping out videos of people doing stupid shit during Hurricane Irene, I came across this:

They are lucky as all hell that the ‘Hurricane Irene’ was suddenly ‘Tropical Storm Irene’. There have been plenty of nice days, when people are thrown over freeways (obviously located close to the water) only to barely survive. And then you have these ‘dare-devils’ who go out during a fucking storm?! Yet, they made it out alive, and now fame is slowly creeping their way. Don’t you just love how stupidity pays the bills nowadays?

Thousands of patients may have been infected by HIV and hepatitis at clinic

Dailymail -

A clinic is trying to track down hundreds of patients after a nurse apparently spent years improperly using diabetic injection devices on them, potentially exposing them to blood-borne diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis.

Officials from Dean Clinic, in Wisconsin, began trying to contact by phone and letter 2,345 patients who saw the nurse between 2006 and when she left her job two weeks ago.

They want the patients to come in for testing for HIV as well as hepatitis B and C.

Mistake: Dean Clinic sent letters and emails to almost 3,000 people telling them they may have HIV or HepatitisMistake: Dean Clinic sent letters and emails to almost 3,000 people telling them they may have HIV or Hepatitis

State and local health officials said they’re monitoring the situation, but no one had detected any diseases connected to the nurse as of late Monday afternoon.

The clinic’s chief medical officer, Dr Mark Kaufman, said the nurse is a certified diabetic educator.

Her job called for her to train newly-diagnosed diabetics on how to inject insulin and test their blood sugar levels.

Clinic officials declined to identify the nurse.

Earlier this month, another clinic employee reported that the nurse was improperly using a device known as an insulin demonstration pen, which resembles a large hypodermic needle and injects insulin into the bloodstream, as well as a more widely-known finger prick device for blood tests, Dr Kaufman said.

The nurse was supposed to demonstrate how to use the pen on pillows and oranges, not on the patients themselves, he said.

But an internal investigation showed she was using the same pen on people. She used clean needles each time, but using the pen on a person could allow a microscopic backwash of blood to flow back into the pen’s reservoir, potentially contaminating it and putting the next patient at risk.

Precaution: Doctors say the risk of patients being infected is small but they should be checked out anyway Precaution: Doctors say the risk of patients being infected is small but they should be checked out anyway

The finger prick device is supposed to be used on people, but the entire device should be used only once per patient, Dr Kaufman said.

The nurse changed needles but used the same handle from patient to patient, creating a risk that blood could get onto it, dry and infect the next fresh needle and patient.

The nurse left her job on August 10, the same week the other clinic employee came forward about her practices, said Dr Craig Samitt, the clinic’s chief executive officer.

He declined to say whether she resigned or was terminated.

Dr Samitt said the nurse was experienced, noting her certification as a diabetic educator, but it’s unclear why she didn’t follow the devices’ guidelines or clinic protocols.

He said: ‘This is a very difficult situation for us at Dean. I’d like to apologize for the concern this has caused patients and their families. We’ll do whatever it takes to care for affected patients.’

Dr Kaufman said the nurse’s actions probably pose little danger to the patients. The HIV virus degrades in a matter of days, and the hepatitis strains can’t survive for more than a month, he noted.

It’s unclear just how many of the nurse’s patients underwent an insulin pen or finger prick demonstration or even if anyone who did was infected with a blood disease and could have passed it on.

‘The risk is minimal, but remains a theoretical risk,’ Dr Kaufman said.

Dean Clinic includes about 720 health care providers located throughout southern Wisconsin. Dr Samitt declined to say where the nurse worked.

Stephanie Smiley, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Health Services, said agency officials learned of the potential exposures on Monday morning and have been in contact with the clinic.

They also have notified the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she said.

‘This is a very serious situation and it appears that Dean Clinic is taking the appropriate steps to notify patients of possible exposure and performing follow-up testing as necessary.’

Abigail Tumpey, a spokesperson for the federal Centers for Disease Control and Protection, said Dean has consulted with that agency about the incident.

‘We would agree that the risk is small,’ said Ms Tumpey. Regardless, she added, most people in such education programmes expect no risk.

She said the CDC works with clinics in such situations to make sure patients are notified and that their needs and concerns are met.

‘The goal is more health care transparency. It is a very scary time for many of these patients.’

Man arrested for cutting girlfriend’s hair in her sleep

Dailymail -

A woman awoke with a shock to find her boyfriend straddling her in bed and shaving her head with electric hair clippers.

Police arrested David Bustos after the woman reported that he had used such force that the clippers had gouged a small cut on her scalp.

The couple had had an argument on Tuesday night after which Bustos, 26, stormed out of his girlfriend’s home.

However, Bustos allegedly returned to the property in Immokalee, about 80 miles west of Miami, Florida, early the next morning.

The woman said she awoke at around 7am to find Bustos sitting on top of her in bed, shaving her hair off with electric clippers.

She kicked him off her and Bustos then fled the house, according to reporters.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bustos at his own home the next day and charged him with domestic battery.

They said they found a number of strands of braided hair on the alleged victim’s bed and removed them as evidence.

Brother and Sister sue their mother for receiving the wrong birthday card and having a curfew

This is by far one of the most pathetic things I have heard in a while. These spoiled little shits, Steven II, now 23, and Kathryn, now 20 had brought their mom to court over silly scenarios and were represented by three lawyers, including their father, Steven A. Miner.

The $50,000 lawsuit for bad mothering was not successful, and for good fucking reason. Like any mother, Kimberly Garrity raised her children how she thought best. Unfortunately, she was most likely too nice to these children who have taken advantage and feel they deserve more (material items/money) than she gave them.

They alleged Garrity failed to take Kathryn to a car show and threatened Steven II with phoning police if he did not buckle his seatbelt.

The children claim she ‘haggled’ over dress prices and called at midnight to tell Kathryn to come home from a party, reported the Chicago Tribune.

After two years of hearing ridiculous incidences, like above, the ordeal is finally over. The fact that they put their mother through this emotional stress for two years is a reason they should be sued. The appeals court has ruled that her behavior and actions were not ‘extreme or outrageous’.

The birthday card in question was labelled ‘inappropriate’ by Steven II as it allegedly failed to include any money.

It had a picture of indistinguishable tomatoes on a table, apart from one in the centre with googly eyes attached.

The card said: ‘Son I got you this Birthday card because it’s just like you … different from all the rest!’

Seriously, she’s a bad mom for not putting money in a card on your birthday? She probably figured you’d blow it on something stupid anyhow, because you’re obviously a child. Who the hell complains about shit like this and actually has the balls to take their own mother to court over such frivolous matters? A spoiled little brat, that’s who.
‘(The children) do not view their (lawsuit) as an attack on mothering, but rather on accountability,’ the children’s father Mr Miner wrote.
Grow up. She has nothing to account for, other than the fact that she was too giving to children who didn’t appreciate everything she provided. Their father is another contributing factor; He seems more interested in seeking revenge against his ex-wife than ensuring his children will be able to survive in the real world.

Driver accidentally hands over a bag of drugs after police ask for her ID

When Clearwater, FL resident, Danielle Rae Shockey, 27, was pulled over by police officers, she obviously had something to hide. Unfortunately, instead of hiding it, she handed over a bag of marijuana, along with her driver’s license.

Shockey was sitting in her vehicle, in a motel parking lot, at 3 O’clock in the morning, when police deemed it suspicious and decided to take a closer look. After asking for her ID, they received her ID and a bag of marijuana. Due to this mistake, police were able to search the vehicle and found that she was, in a sense, a pharmacy.

Apparently, the marijuana was the least of her worries. Inside her vehicle, authorities found:

57 oxycodone pills, seven methadone pills as well as smaller amounts of sedatives Valium and clonazepam.

Wow. If you’re going to be carrying drugs, you should try to at least conceal them so that they aren’t accidentally handed over, while simply grabbing your ID. The fact that she wasn’t drunk is impressive. Although, I don’t know if I would even do this drunk.
